Link had his first “parent teacher conference” a few weeks ago.  He’s doing awesome at his new “school”.

Positives:

  • He talks…A LOT (hard to believe until he started there 6 weeks prior, he was a man of very few words).
  • His speech is really clear.
  • Incredibly social
  • Very kind & welcoming to other kids
  • Shares well.
  • Loves to play with balls & do physical activities.
  • Listens well
  • takes art time VERY seriously

Needs to work on:

  • zipping up his coat
  • picking up his toys…

I laughed about him taking art seriously…it’s no lie.  At home, he can be busy for at least 30 min, if not more, “drawing”.  Pen is his favorite medium.

Link Turned TWO!!

Linker-Doodle-Dandy turned two last week!

We had a pre-birthday celebration two weeks ago when my mom & dad came to town.   It involved cupcakes, gifts & the aquarium.

Thursday was his real birthday.  Matt & I took him to breakfast at one of our favorite restaurants – Snooze.  It was delicious.  Link ordered a pancake, but ate my eggs & toast.

He then went to daycare for the remainder of the day.  Thursday night we ordered his favorite food – Pee-pah (Pizza).  The second he saw the delivery man, he screamed “PEEPAH!” and went to his chair at the table.

We finished off the evening off with more presents & cake.  Overall, I think he had a great day.

Link had his 2 year appointment last Friday.  He’s growing great, his pediatrician even mentioned he didn’t hit the “toddler slump” like most  – i.e. he’s still growing & gaining weight w/o slowing down.

He weighed in at 27lbs 4oz (gaining almost 5 lbs in a year!) & measured 34″ tall (grew 4″ and is now officially over half my height!).
